We know you want to volunteer, heres how you do it  :

1) Create an account on Blue Sombrero (This Site !) 
If you have a child in the program:
If you have already set up an account in Blue Sombrero for player registration, you do not have to set up a separate account for volunteer registration, as you can use that parent/guardian account to volunteer as a coach or other position.  The instructions below are specifically for those volunteers that don’t have children in our AYSO program.  

If you dont have a child in the program:
All volunteers, new or returning, for the 2017 membership year (which begins Aug. 1, 2017, and runs through July 31, 2018),
must create a new account in the Blue Sombrero registration system, which is part of Dicks Sporting Goods
(which is why you’ll see the Dicks logo prominently displayed):

If you are not registering your child, select “I am a team coach or other team personnel”
(this will include referees – including youth referees, and VIP buddies):



2) Once you have registered login and go to my account then on the left side of the page - select Volunteer



3) Once you have selected volunteer on the top left  select Find Volunteer Roles, it should give you a choice of one program 


Select the program and hit view roles

If you do not have a child in the program , or your role is not Age group specific (e.g. Referee or Board Member roles) then select the Volunteer only program 



Note for Returning Volunteers :
Be sure to carefully enter complete name, including full middle name or initial as it was originally entered in past season in EAYSO.ORG .  At this time your prior eayso.org login should work to check if necessary (also allows checking prior training and certifications, and verifying your existing eayso ID ).

Continue to request to e-sign (Referee role sample):

Full registration form is displayed, with all info except drivers license detail shown.  Check for accuracy.

Scroll down to bottom to type name as “electronic signature”

Check the box “I agree to use an electronic signature “, and select either Adult or Parent/Guardian (for youth volunteers).

There is an option to print the form once complete (it will likely open a new browser tab).
The site will automatically do a background check through Verified Volunteers, and once complete, you are finished.

If you edit anything on your original application, it will likely force the e-signature process again (be sure to follow through all of the steps to complete.
If you are a new volunteer, or youth transitioning to 18 years old adult volunteer, print a copy of the volunteer application, and present with drivers license or permit to a Pleasantville AYSO board member.
If you are a youth volunteer, print a copy and keep it with you on the field or during AYSO activities, as it servers as authorization and medical release.
